CrossOver: An Update

I posted about CrossOver in an eponymous post on the 30th March 2025. At that time I said that my trial version would soon expire (probably after 30 days). However, I've never closed the program down nor rebooted my laptop and so Astrolog continues to run without any problems. I fear that once I reboot the laptop in order to install updates (which I've been postponing), then I'll be face with paying for the software to work. It's only for Astrolog that I need the CrossOver at all.

The convenience of having Astrolog running on my laptop however, means that I would pay the money for the software if I was forced to. In these uncertain times, I've been using it almost every day to monitor the aspects that transiting planets are casting to my natal planets. I should also monitor the Astrolog website. Who knows, someone may come up with dmg file one day that will enable easy installation on the Silicon Macs.

In the screenshot shown, I tried to click on Astrolog website link but got an expired message. This means that once I close Astrolog and try to restart it, I'll get an expired alert. In the meantime I'll refrain from either closing the program and from rebooting my laptop so that I can continue using the program. With the way that AI is progressing, it may soon be possible to take an open source Windows program like Astrolog and modify the code so that it will run under Mac OS on the Silicon Macs.

Here is what Gemini had to say about the possibility when prompted: link.

Saturn Enters Aries

Well, the time has come ... almost. On May 25th, transiting Saturn will enter Aries but before that Pluto will turn retrograde in Aquarius on May 5th. However, it will not reenter Capricorn but station in 1°22' on October 13th 2025 before moving forward again. This retrograde period will probably see a renewed resistance on the part of governments and the ruling elite to the societal transformations that Pluto is stimulating before this resistance weakens in the face of Pluto's renewed forward momentum after mid-October.

The entry of Saturn into Aries and its conjunction with Neptune will also dampen the fiery (Aries) idealism (Neptune) driving societal change as more control mechanisms are put into place. Ultimately, Neptune will dissolve the boundaries that Saturn will try to impose but there may be considerable repression in the short term. Remember that Neptune will spend far longer than Saturn in the sign of Aries. Unlike Pluto, transiting Saturn will later retrograde and reenter Pisces on September 2nd 2025. It will return to Aries on February 14th 2026.
